FAQ
Frequently asked questions about this series
What types does the Hyperdispersant series include?
Non-ionic, waterborne, encapsulated and coupling dispersants in one series. The series indexes 12 product categories and 23 published models, covering non-ionic, water-based, encapsulation-type and coupling-type dispersing agents; the main component, parameters and recommended dosage of each model are on its own page.
What are the key figures for the R1800 series?
The R1800 series is a special polymer-type multifunctional dispersing aid built from polyolefin ether polymers copolymerised under high temperature and high pressure: it shows excellent compatibility with all rubber and plastic, lubricity is 26× that of wax and dispersibility 113× that of wax. The series is the first hyperdispersant in the world, officially launched in 2010. Representative models documented here include R1800-S / R1800-SK / R1800-SH / R1618 / R900 / R200 / R300.
Which models are used with carbon black and masterbatch systems?
In the documentation, R1800-SH addresses carbon black and black masterbatch, R400 water-based carbon black, R1618 conductive carbon black, D3-A super-conductive carbon black and R900A liquid colour masterbatch; the actual disclosures, parameters and recommended dosage of each model are on its own page.
Which models work in water-based systems?
The water-based direction documents R400 (hyperdispersant for water-based carbon black) and R780 (hyperdispersant for water-based dyes), and the series also indexes a water-based dispersant category. Dosage and grinding or dispersion process follow that model’s page and the documentation — please run a small-scale trial before mass production.
