Golden October, a Grand Celebration — Celebrating the 77th Anniversary of the Republic with You

Golden October, with a high sky and light clouds, and the fragrance of osmanthus in the air.

Today, alongside hundreds of millions of people, we welcome the 77th anniversary of the Republic. On this holiday that belongs to all Chinese people, Californium Curium extends festive greetings and sincere best wishes to every customer, partner, and colleague who has trusted and supported us over the long term!

The Origin of National Day: The Salute That Day Has Echoed for 77 Years

On 1 October 1949, the founding ceremony of the People's Republic of China was held at Tiananmen Square in Beijing. The Five-starred Red Flag was raised over the square for the first time, and a brand-new nation set out on its journey.

On 2 December of the same year, the Fourth Meeting of the Central People's Government Committee passed a resolution: from 1950 onward, 1 October of each year is designated as the National Day of the People's Republic of China.

From then on, every year on this day — the flag-raising ceremony at Tiananmen Square, the "China Red" along Chang'an Avenue, the National Day flowerbeds in streets and alleys — has become a shared memory belonging to generation after generation of Chinese people. National Day is both "a celebration of the nation" and "a reunion of families."

Three Little-Known Facts About National Day

Figure 3Fireworks bloom for the motherland—on this night of national celebration, may the nation prosper and the people be at peace.

The term "National Day" first appeared in the Western Jin Dynasty. Literary figure Lu Ji wrote in his On the Five Ranks of Feudal Lords: "When the state celebrates, the ruler alone enjoys the benefit; when the ruler is in distress, no one shares the harm." In ancient times, "National Day" simply referred to "joyful occasions of the state."

The designer of the Five-Star Red Flag was, at the time, just an ordinary staff member. In 1949, a nationwide public solicitation was issued for flag designs; the "Red-Field Five-Star Flag" submitted by Zeng Liansong from Rui'an, Zhejiang, was ultimately selected.

The national anthem was born in Shanghai. In 1935, the March of the Volunteers — lyrics by Tian Han, music by Nie Er — was released as the theme song of the film Children of Troubled Times, and later became the national anthem of the People's Republic of China.

From 1949 to 2026: Every Mile Counts

Figure 4Golden clouds drift slowly—may the land be splendid and the nation prosper and the people be at peace.

Over 77 years, we have witnessed a nation rise from a thousand ruins to prosperity: a high-speed rail network spanning the country, the Beidou constellation coming online, the C919 soaring through the skies, the Chinese Space Station hosting long-term crews...

Behind these achievements lies a relay run by generation after generation of industrial workers. And materials are the "grain" of industry — behind every great national asset stands the steady progress of foundational materials.

As a member of the materials industry, Californium Curium has always held one conviction: making every batch of products solid and labeling every data point clearly is the most down-to-earth response to building a strong nation through industry.

Celebrating Family and Nation Together — And Please Give Yourself a Break

During the holiday, we hope you will:

  • Share a reunion dinner with your family;
  • Step out and take in the "China Red" around the city;
  • Or simply, sleep in and wake up naturally.

To those still on duty at their posts, or out on the road, please take care of yourselves — safety first; there is always more time ahead.

Best Wishes

May the mountains and rivers be splendid, the nation prosperous and the people at peace; may you and your family enjoy a pleasant holiday, stay safe and well, and find fulfillment in all that you do!
